Wow, I'm proud of this. I haven't been able to do much art recently, and I needed something like this to occupy my time and mind. It was a great "workout" and I feel pumped and ready to do more! That or... pass out... *dead*
I'm starting a new Dungeons and Dragons campaign where I'm actually DMing. My idea is that I will bring my players inside my fantasy world. They will be playing through the final series I have planned (and which I've been developing more the past year or so), The Chronicles of Iryshka. Hooray!
The game has a steampunk theme, thus the attire. This is one of my main NPCs, Direndria. It seemed fitting that the first big character the players meet will be my namesake. And I haven't drawn her in ages. It feels good to get her down on paper again. She's one of my favorites.
I ended up using the same brush for the whole coloring process. It had a sort of texture to it (that I didn't discover right away) so it gave the coloring a bit of a grainy look. I ended up kind of liking it so I just kept going. I really like the result.
Please excuse the lame background. By the time I finished all the details on her I was in no mood to come up with a background. I had a few ideas but the truth is I'm exhausted! lol
Direndria and the Chronicles of Iryshka belong to me if you please.
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
